A half day tour which takes in the sights close to Senggigi and the city! We start with a trip up the west coast to see Malimbu, Nipah and the beautiful beaches on this side of the island. Travel down through the stunning gorges of the Pusuk Pass, stopping to visit the cheeky monkeys in the Monkey Forest and the traditional market at Gunung Sari. From there we proceed to historic Lingsar Temple, in the cool foothills above the city. Lingsar is one of the oldest temples in Lombok and is the only place where both Hindus and Muslims gather together to pray and celebrate ancient festivals. Next we visit Narmada Park, the historical former summer palace of one of the Kings of Lombok, designed as a miniature replica of the crater lake on Mt Rinjani. To finish the tour, we stop at Mayura Temple, near the city of Cakranegara, to view the water garden and ancient temples built in 1744.

The Sasak people are the native inhabitants of Lombok and this tour highlights the best of Sasak culture in Lombok. Drive south to the village of Banyumulek to see traditional pottery being made by artisans who have been creating Lombok pottery for generations. Lombok pottery is famous for its distinctive hand made style and is exported throughout the world. Watch the potters at work and pick up a bargain! From Banyumulek we travel to the traditional weaving village at Sukarare, to see villagers in traditional dress creating another popular Lombok art form. Ikat, or woven fabric, is produced on old “back-strap” looms, with generations of weavers painstakingly creating wonderful designs into woven blankets and fabrics, sought by collectors throughout the world. Driving further south, we visit the Sasak village at Sade to see traditional architecture with old-style housing compounds and Sasak houses with buffalo dung floors. After meeting the local people, we continue to the stunning south coast resort of Kuta Beach, famous for its white sand beaches and world-class surfing. Enjoy a refreshing swim at either beautiful Tanjung A’an or the peaceful bay at Mawun Beach.

Usually difficult to reach, we make it easy to visit this tiny and beautiful island off the southwest coast! Choose to make the trip directly from Senggigi Beach to Gili Nanggu by boat, taking in the sights from the ocean as we make our way down the coast; or travel by car to Tawun Harbour near Sekotong, with fantastic views of Lembar Harbour and the small villages of the southwest along the way. At Tawun, board a traditional outrigger boat out to Gili Nanggu (less than 15 mins away). Spend the day exploring this tiny coral island with its sparkling soft white sand, clear turquoise water and snorkel over the reef which lays only metres off shore, teaming with colourful tropical fish. We also offer options at two other nearby islands: Gili Genting and Gili Tangkong, for swimming and snorkelling.
